Lucy Redwood-Hanson
Co-ordinator at The Place
Hello I'm Lucy -
I have had the privilege of working for The Place since it first opened in 2018 and I have loved every minute, needless to say I was thrilled to be offered the role as co-ordinator.
I understand the demands and challenges of being a parent both through my own personal experience of bring up 3 boys, and working in the Early years sector for over 14 years. I have worked with many families and children through various roles - a Volunteer with Home Start, Nursery Nurse at The Old Station Nursery, Teaching Assistant at Faringdon Infant School and as an Early Years Practitioner here at The Place.
I understand the need for families to have somewhere to go where they can feel listened too and welcomed. The Place provides a safe space for Children to explore and encourages their development through play.
I enjoy getting to know the families who attend our groups, watching them learn and grow together, building relationships and supporting them through the many ups and downs of parenthood and family life.
Sarah Brown
Early Years Practitioner
Hello, I’m Sarah -
I work in the Place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and I have three children. I have worked in a nursery and afterschool club for 16 years and love supporting families. I enjoy watching children grow and progress and being a part of a family’s journey. The Place helped and supported me and my children so I’m pleased to be able to give something back to help other families too. I’m looking forward to getting to know parents and children, old and new.
Claire Davies
Early Years Practitioner
Hello, I am Claire -
I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren and have recently moved from Witney to Stanford in the vale. My experience in early years care and education spans 25 years. These have been the most wonderful times as I believe early years are the most precious stage in life. One of the main benefits of working with children of such a young age is the privilege of making strong trusting relationships with parents. I am delighted to be given the opportunity of working for Spurgeons as they focus on creating the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
